Expect regular city and castle walking, some stairs, uneven historic surfaces, and optional coastal paths. We can reduce individual walking segments, but this is not a fully sedentary journey.

Will the ferry and hotels always be the same?+

It is designed at a moderate pace and can work well for mature travelers who are comfortable with daily sightseeing. We will discuss stairs, walking tolerance and preferred downtime before finalizing it.
Can we spend more time in Scotland or Ireland?+
Yes. The route can be rebalanced around family roots, golf, literature, gardens, whiskey, music, coastal scenery, or extra nights in Edinburgh, Galway or Dublin.
What about border entry, ferry and travel safety?+
The journey crosses the UK and Ireland and may require different authorizations depending on passport. We confirm current entry and ferry requirements before travel and recommend insurance for weather or transport disruption.
