The route moves gradually from the highland cultures of Lijiang and Dali through Kunming and the rice terraces to tropical Xishuangbanna.

Are university and specialist visits guaranteed?

No. Institutional and specialist visits depend on approval, opening schedules and local conditions. Confirmed access will be listed only in the final proposal.

How active is this journey?

The pace is moderate, with old-town walking, scenic areas, transfers and some elevation. Mountain or gorge experiences can be adjusted according to mobility and comfort.

Why does the route need 15 days?

Yunnan’s regions are geographically and culturally distinct. The longer route allows the medicine-and-botany theme to connect meaningfully with Lijiang, Dali, Kunming, Jianshui, Yuanyang and tropical Xishuangbanna.

What safety and health preparation is recommended?
